Cartoons

idealism and realism hit an impasse all the time in my life.

idealistically (prior to having kids) : i planned for my children to play in our backyard... play in the park.. play outside... etc. etc.

realistically (after having kids): they watch cartoons. .... they watch a lot of TV.

AJ started with Clifford the big red dog... then progressed to wiggles and blues clues.

blues clues: i am impressed with blues clues .. there is somewhat of a routine that the kids can follow and they also teach sign language.

dora the explorer: yo me gusto ...except i need subtitles. i can't figure out what dora is trying to say to her friend Boots sometimes. ayudeme! ayudeme!

wiggles: love them!!!! i didn't want to love them... xavier was really into the wiggles and I just couldn't figure out what was so great about them. i was kinda freaked out .. until I started watching them.
greg's voice is soothing to my ear. i like the bright colors.
AJ is not as into them anymore but i still think the wiggles rock.

yo gabba gabba! i would love to have one of the retro t shirts with one of the cartoon characters on it. this is a very psychodelic cartoon. there's a party in my tummy! so yummy! so yummy!

we have gone through a lot of cartoons & kids shows: backyardigans, little bill, oswald, go diego go, lazytown. i especially liked power rangers operation overdrive.

i dislike Caillou. he's whiny... i can't stand it!!!
