i signed us up for the 'Halloween Happening' event through our park district. pretty coolio for the kiddies. they had a craft area where the kids colored a picture [pumpkins or frankensteins]. we missed the magic show. got to see the doggie costume parade - not sure who one but i liked the pug costumed as a baked potato.
kids enjoyed smores they cooked up at the bonfire.
what i liked is AJ said 'best hayride ever!'
it was a tractor pulled wagon ride that drove us around the park [lights off]. wasn't sure what to expect because i don't remember doing a spooky hayride before. loved it! they had people dressed up as zombies and other scary characters to scare us unexpectedly throughout the ride. AJ asked me if the scary guy's chainsaw was real... i told him it that it sure sounds real... i kept all my extremities inside the wagon just in case.
