yes-proof our weekends consist of b-day parties

at Ella's birthday party

it's inevitable. invites to multiple celebrations on the same day.

at Melissa's birthday party

this is the first time that AJ has ever been with these kids but i love how he just joined in without us having to tell him to.  i do get worried about the other kids and my reactions.  i can be a fierce mama bear...at AJ's age it's probably embarrassing but if he needs protection, i will step in.  i have no qualms about putting a kid in his place if it's my kid who is getting hurt.  then again, i can be very passive and wait until i am needed.  so in the pic above..some of the kids asked AJ  'what's wrong with your eyes?'   'take off your glasses!'  AJ handled it pretty well.  he ignored most of it and waited patiently for his turn at pin the tail on the donkey.
so no... mama bear did not have to step in.

i love it when kids teach us a life lesson just by being themselves.
kids just play with each other... even though they don't know each other.

so i am left with a beautiful memory of my son ..laughing and playing.
Ian   [Beverly's son] let AJ have at least 3 times swinging on this tire swing.
i actually heard Ian tell AJ :  ' No! you stay on...you're new'
thanks Beverly for your son Ian.
