thank you for mark schultz' mom

mother's day 2010 is coming up soon.  ambivalent feeling towards this 'holiday'.  guess cuz i  get stressed trying to honor the mothers in my life and not honoring myself.  that's how mothers are though..so i'm not really complaining.  just decompressing.

i'm excited for new mothers... yay!!! you finally see me!!! every emotion you are feeling ...be it good or bad... i've been there... done that.  the guilt...the love.. the fear.. yep... check ...check... and check.  doesn't matter if you are single or married..have 1 kid or 10 kids - you have joined us. welcome to my world!

this will be my 7th mother's day as a mother?  i really don't remember much of past mothers' days.  i think we've done some at Drury Lane.   i will remember mother's day 2004...  i did a breast cancer walk that morning. would i do that again?  i can't remember spending the day with AJ.
then again... i am a mother every day..so every day is mother's day for me.  i've been so stressed in the past of all these 'special occasion' days.. i am finally letting go.  my mahal is doing the breast cancer run..the kids are going to visit chicago. i'm gonna go with the flow on mother's day.

so i titled this post 'thank you for mark schultz mom'   ...i was thinking of the women today that i am grateful they became mothers... like my ninang nora..auntie dik dik...my mother-in-law..my mom. thank you for creating lives that are connected to my life.

i just bought mark schultz' CD 'Come Alive'  ...and when i think of him...i am so thankful for the woman who gave birth to him.  as far as i know, he has no clue who his birth mother. what if this woman decided not to have him? maybe privately he has struggled with the ups and downs of not knowing who/where you come from but he doesn't show it.  publicly, he gives thanks for his birth mom. adoption is close to his heart and he only sends good vibes out there for the woman who gave him up so that he could be raised by his awesome parents.  if i was mark schultz's birth mom, i would be so happy that he grew up to be the person he is. a beautiful spirit was created. thank you for mark schultz' mom.
