We have caught the home improvement bug. so we are watching the DIY channel and HGTV a little bit more... been talking about what projects are viable this year. 2x2 natural stone tiles are on sale at Menards for another week so we might be doing a kitchen backsplash but my mahal wants to check out a tile outlet in the city so we'll see.
we knew we wanted a little bit more color in the front yard and we had to fix some dead lawn patches in the backyard (grub damage) .. so it was off to Menards...saturday AND sunday.
we live within a 5 mile radius of 2 Menards, 2 Home Depots, and 1 Lowes. sweet.
the only sucky part is the sweat equity from actually doing the work. as my mahal said while we were digging up holes for the special lawn seed/fertilizer in the hot humid weather: "who in the hell likes this f@!*ng gardening sh%#@t!"
I used to go with my Dad to home improvement stores ...so I actually like going to these places. Both Menards had play areas - i think that's coolio. the only thing I would suggest is that they have a hot dog cart so we can buy hot dogs and eat there.
