since my mahal did the urbanathalon this summer... i thought - hey , if he can do that... i can do this. so we signed up for the Naperville 5K this past thanksgiving.
loved it!
i think i was more fascinated with people watching and just everything that was going on.
people make this a tradition..
very coolio to see families and really deconditioned people just doing this 5k just to do it. that was me, too!
i lost the old lady that i was pacing behind.
here i am annoying my mahal. i kept on talking to him... he hates that.
look at that ---i'm huffing and puffing ...and old man in the background looks like he's going for a morning stroll.

| i really did enjoy this because it was a challenge for me. night before i was out till 11 pm... didn't sleep till 1 pm..got up around 5 am day of race. after race, put turkey in oven, made cheesy potatoes, green bean casserole, and hosted family thanksgiving dinner. it's good, Mama Rosie took care of the kids or i would have been tired. |
