... on sept 11, 2001?
i remember it was a tuesday.
i was walking out of the gym when i saw the news on TV... kinda surreal..wasn't sure what I was looking at. what i was hearing. i only got bits and pieces of what was going on.
got to work and nobody knew what I was talking about ... so we listened on the radio. looking back... how come we didn't check the internet...dunno.
everybody was stunned.. silently freaking out. wondering what was happening to our country...what was happening to the people who were in the buildings...what was going to happen to us. a lot of what ifs were circling in our heads. what if we worked downtown? what if something happens to us? ...to me?
we heard companies were telling their employees to go home. i was anxiously waiting to hear the boss tell us all that we could go home... should go home.
we were told we could go home at 2 pm.
i went to the 'pino store... got some coconut gel... went home. made halo halo..ate it. weird.
that's what i remember.
