i'm amazed at the differences between AJ and Jasmine.

when AJ was Jasmine's age (14 mos) : he was going through a lot of surgeries, cold weather sniffles/fevers... just a lot going on that was not very conducive for reaching developmental milestones. he was a very calm baby... very re-directable. not adventurous because 1) that's just innately how he was and 2) his poor eyesight.
there was one time that we brought him to Joe's parents' house immediately after one of his surgeries.. i put him on the kitchen floor so that he could crawl. but he couldn't see ... he had one eye patched and the other eye... he couldn't see well out of without using his other eye. next thing you know, he bumped his head on the refrigerator door. of course, he howled because he was so frightened.

also...i didn't have to chase him too much around the house. he liked to stay in the same room that i was in.

Jasmine.. on the other hand... is a handful. we seriously have to look at more babyproofing for the house... and a cage or fence. Alls we did for AJ was put a few plug covers for some outlets. he also was obedient. if we told him not to do something...he wouldn't do it.

Jasmine likes to open doors.close doors.. go up stairs ...doesn't care if she is going to fall. likes to walk from room to room ...won't stay in one room. she acts like she doesn't understand the word 'no'
but she understands a lot. i know because on command she will: touch her hair, point to her belly, put a bowl on top of her head, give me the remote control if i ask her to, and do beautiful eyes.
she's starting to do crocodile tears and tantrums when she doesn't get her way.

god...please grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change.
