i guess the Dupage County Sheriff holds an open house every summer (i hope they do this again in 2010!) so that the community can learn about safety and what the sheriff actually does.
this was pretty coolio.
there is no admission price, there was no parking price... you might have to pay for food.... but that's it.
we went after finishing the heartwalk - so we didn't have to buy food..we still had the goodie snacks from the heartwalk. SCORE!!!
we got to see the helicopters fly in and you actually get to be really close. how cool is this?

most of the towns from dupage county brought one of there cop cars. they also had military cars and trucks...new and antique.

yep.. we will probably do this again this year... we just had a good relaxing time with the kids. learned some new things and got to get really close to some cool machines.
for future reference... they don't want you to sit on the copter like this but we got this pic snapped before they told us.
they even had planes flying over.
