i love hearing that other women are multi-partying (party hopping) like me. i usually try not to but nevertheless.. parties are scheduled for the same day around the same time so sometimes i will try to make it to each party that i'm invited to. i'm not saying i like to do this ...it is kinda rude of me either way ...i don't come early to the first party and i only stay 40 min..then i come late to the next party. it is the nature of the beast since i became a wife..then a mother. there is always some event going on...for family..for friends..for work. i relish a weekend when there is nothing planned - but then again...when that happens, i am besides myself with cabin fever and going batty from no frenetic activity.
gosh...when you got kids..it's a big production to get out the door. it's almost like i am an event planner. i got this schedule in my head for the day of the party..and for other events that will occur down the line.
example: i know the dates of the weekends for may & june...they are stuck in my head. that's kinda weird because i don't think that is natural.
so today was a party day - i have my schedule in my head how i want to attack my party madness... i knew i needed a nap so that i could get ready at 5pm ..and leave the house at 5:30. shop for gifts and be at the first party between 6 -6:30 pm.
i napped at 3-4:30 (i let jasmine watch dora & nihao kailan while i slept - big mistake..she was crabby at the end of the night)
shopping took a bit more time than expected (damn these supertargets...i have to go from one end to the other and back) ...got to the first party in streamwood around 7 pm...stayed 40 min (thanks for the invite ...food was delicious..sorry i didn't stay long) then rushed off to Montgomery for next party- got there by 8:30pm.
So here i am now at home blogging... Joe is still at the party w/AJ. I drove separate with Jasmine. i would say that's approx total 75 miles to and fro on minimal sleep and 24 oz of coffee. i am superwoman... hear me ROOOOAAARRR!!!!
so when someone can't stay too long for any events we have ... no problem.. i totally understand.
